- Valencia is a town right outside Dumaguete City and a great place both for outdoor enthusiasts and those interested in Philippine history.

Places Nearby
These places are located near Negros Islandi in the Philippines and are accessible from Dumaguete City and the other municipalities of Negros Oriental. Each is an overview of other islands that one may want to visit when you are in this corner of the world.
Beautiful, mystical Siquijor island can be seen from Dumaguete City, and is a short 45-minute boat ride away.
Day trips to tour Bohol, the home of the Chocolate Hills and Tarsiers are available from Dumaguete City, which is just a ride away via fast ferry.
Bacolod
The capital of Negros Occidental is just a bus ride away from any point in Negros Oriental. Located on the other side of Negros island, Bacolod is a lively place to visit for good food and all night parties, among other attractions.
