Chocolate Hills
The most famous of the province's natural wonders is the geological limestone formation known as the Chocolate Hills, which from certain vantage points look like chocolate drops scattered around the countryside.
Tarsiers
Bohol's most popular residents, the tarsiers are the world's smallest and definitely cutest primates. Visitors to the Tarsier Center are treated to seeing the tarsiers up close and even getting to hold them in your hand, in their native habitat.
Panglao Island
Panglaso Island is a true vacationer's paradise with beautiful white sand beaches, fantastic dive spots and a completely relaxing island atmosphere. Alona beach front is where tourists can walk the shoreline and enjoy the many different resorts on the beachfront. Island hopping, diving and other water sports are available at alona beach.
Cabilao Island
Divers can enjoy the undistrubed reefs of this remote island and the chance to see hammerhead sharks.
Loboc River Cruise & Floating Restaurant
Take a relaxing rise up Loboc river in an outrigger boat enjoying the beautiful natural scenery along the way, including the small falls at the top of the river. TOp of this unique experience by having a lunch buffet served floating down peaceful Loboc river.
You can be part of a tour group, or private parties can rent the entire boat, too.
Bohol Van Tours & Island Hopping
Tour operators are easy to find in the port area (for those on day trips to Bohol) or at your hotel. These tours include a visit to the Chocolate Hills, Hanging Bridge, Tarsier Center, Baclayon Church, , the Blood Compact Site Monument, Manmade Forest and the Loboc River Cruise. The cost of the tour, with buffet lunch is usually around Php1,600 per person.
It is also possible to rent a van with driver to go sightseeing and explore Bohol on your own. Rates start at about Php1,000 for 8 hours.
Outrigger boats are available along Alona Beach or from your hotel resort. You can go island hopping, dolphin watching or have a picnic on a deserted island.

How to Get to Bohol (Tagbilaran) From Dumaguete City
One takes a fast ferry from the Port of Dumaguete at Looc, which is at the northern side of the Boulevard (Rizal Avenue) and you get to Bohol in less than 2 hours!
The earliest daily trip at 7:30 am and arrives in Tagbilaran at 9:00 am, while the later afternoon trip leaves at 2:20 pm and arrives at 4:00 pm.
Should you be going on a day trip, which is actually just perfect for you to take the classic Bohol day tour -- you can get back to Dumaguete by taking the last trip out at 5:40 pm and arrive just in time for dinner.
If you are planning to stay longer to go island hopping perhaps and book a room in a hotel resort, the return trips depart Tagbilaran at 8:00 am, arriving 9:40am and the last trip out leaves at 5:40 pm and arrive at 7:40 pm.
Fare is Php650 per person one way plus a port terminal fee of Php15.00.
Webmaster's Note:
It is usually cheaper to book a round trip flight from Manila to Dumaguete and then take a short ferry ride to Bohol.
When the local airlines, like Cebu Pacific, offer fare discounts, trips to Dumaguete City are at times way cheaper than those going to Tagbilaran.
