Negros Oriental
The Best Place for Adventure Travel in the Philippines
Negros Island in the Philippines was partitioned by Royal Decree of Spain into two provinces in 1890. The settlements on the southeastern coast became Negros Oriental, the province, where the sun rises and where each Negros day begins.
From the very beginning daybreak imbued Negros Oriental's landscape and waters, architectural landmarks and its genteel people with serenity and laid-back charms. The advancing days plashed its vivid colors on the festive occasions so vital to life in the local communities, who dance and sway and give thanks for the bounties that nature has bestowed on them.
