Valencia is one of three interior towns in Negros Orienal that offers the best of both worlds, a quiet place to live (or retire) in that is just a few minutes away from the bustling commercial center, Dumaguete City. Nestled on the hills at the foot of Mt. Talinis, Valencia offers a much cooler climate that the coastal towns nearby.

Banica Swimming Lagoon
Featuring two river-fed swimming pools in a garden setting, the Banica Swimming Lagoon is a favorite hangout of picknickers due to its proximity to Dumaguete City, and facilities like rest rooms and a canteen.
Camp Lookout
Offers panoramic views of Dumaguete and islands to the east.
Casaroro Falls
One of the most photographed waterfalls in Negros Oriental, Casaroro Falls has cool waters cascading down to a swimming basin, enclosed by steep precipices and lush vegetation. Hikers can traverse an adventurous nature trail, popular among locals and visitors alike.
Cata-al Memorabilia
Relics of the World War II encounter in Negros Oriental that include American and Japanese materials and personal effects, preserved as part of the personal collection of the Cata-al family in Valencia.
Fil-Jap Amity Shrine
Unveiled on April 2, 1977 on the Sagbang hilltop, a three-sided pillar soars 30 feet above a viewing deck in the place where Filipino, American and Japanese soldiers clashed in the last and fiercest encounter of WWII in Negros Oriental. The promontory overlooks the panoramic sprawl of Dumaguete City, Sibulan and Bacong towns and the neighboring islands of Cebu and Siquijor.
Forest Camp
A great place for kids and those young at heart, Forest Camp is a resort and a nature park set amidst a sprawling area of greenery, with a lively river running through it, a picnic area and two river-fed swimming pools. It is a place recommended for family outings, school excursions and seminars, with just Php20.00 entrance per person and Php40.00 per person for swimming. Cottages may be rented overnight.
Pulangbato Falls
One of the most popular destinations in Valencia, Pulangbato Falls is a cascade that is high in iron content, rusting the cliff in its path creating an awesome two-toned waterfalls that photograph beautifully.
Spanish Fountain
A relic of the Spanish colonial period is the centerpiece of town's distinctive "sunken" municipal plaza. Devised by an Agustinian friar to spout water channeled from a highland spring.

HOW TO GET TO VALENCIA
Valencia is a short 10-minute drive from Dumaguete City.
There are jeepneys continously plying the Dumaguete-Valencia route all day. At Valencia, one may rent a motor bike to get around, or they can be rented in Dumaguete City and brought very easily to nearby Valencia
