Negros Oriental News & Weather
First the weather ...
Negros Oriental, enjoys all year-round relatively good weather. Unlike other islands in the Visayas region in the Philippines, the province hardly experiences typhoons (tropical hurricanes, for those of you from the "West"). This means, great year-round sunshine with the exception of the amihan that the locals call "dirty North winds" that bring in a little rain and gray skies in January.
Read all the lastest news gathered from local sources. It must be noted, though, that the news coming from the news desks in Dumaguete covering the whole of Negros Oriental in the Philippines contains mostly political and economic events and very little peace and order issues (this means good news for locals and tourists alike).
Of course social events like the Buglasan and Sandurot Festivals always make big headlines!
