HOW TO GET FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE CITY
Located in the nearby town of Sibulan, the airport is just 10-15 minutes away from downtown Dumaguete.
Porters are available to help claim your luggage and wheel it to the parking lot and load it onto your vehicle. Tipping is encouraged at the rate of $0.50-$1 per bag.
Your most important resource at this point would be the tourism booth at the lobby to your left, with nice ladies behind the counter are on hand to help you with any information or arrangements you may require.
If you did not book your vacation with a tour operator or travel agency, or if you are not being met by a friend or relative, they can give you info on the different options for transportation getting out of the airport.
These are:
a. Multicab (Php80.00/trip)
b. Taxi (Php150.00/trip)
c. Jeepney (about Php10/person). You can catch one aloing the main road, not recommended if you are bringing a lot of luggage.
d. Van Rentals - rates vary depending on final destination, although you can contract the services for the rest of the day if you wish.
Of course the taxi service is the most comfortable of all your options. It is relatively new service, by the way.
The different vehicles await you at the parking and several folks will approach you to offer their services. Don't worry, the rates are pretty standard and the folks are quite nice and helpful.
